🎄 CHRISTMAS CARNIVALS · SAN FERNANDO, CA

Christmas carnivals in San Fernando.

A Christmas carnival is the carnival format worn as a holiday costume: striped booths in red and white or green and white, a canopy of warm string lights, candy-cane signs over each game, prizes, a concession row and Santa and Mrs. Claus at the end of the walkway. Christmas carnivals in San Fernando can be built on a park lawn, a school yard or a church lot, and Carnival Fun Experts supplies every part of the midway.

San Fernando hosts can start with Recreation Park, Las Palmas Park and Pioneer Park, and can also ask about campuses in Los Angeles Unified School District and church lots. The first call goes to whichever office runs the site, since it controls the date.

Carnival Fun Experts handles the carnival itself: booths, lights, games, concessions and Santa and Mrs. Claus. The host handles the approvals and the invitations.

WHAT THEY USUALLY LOOK LIKE

A holiday midway on the ground in San Fernando.

The first thing guests see is the entry arch, red and white, trimmed with candy canes, peppermint balloons and gingerbread figures. Past it the booths stand in two colors, red-and-white along one side and green-and-white along the other, each running a carnival game with a candy-cane skin and a prize shelf. Overhead the string lights glow warm, and once the afternoon turns to evening they carry the whole scene.

Concession booths turn out churros, pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, nachos, snow cones and caramel apples. At the far end Santa and Mrs. Claus sit at the photo-op station, and a walk-in snow globe inflatable adds a second photo spot (nothing falls inside it). Snow-flocked trim on the props gives a static frosted look. A host can match the layout to the ground: a loop on a lawn, an L at a corner of a lot, or a straight row along a school fence.
